Saw Therion the other night

Anyone digthese guys from Sweden?I thought they were great.The show was advertised as having a 20 piece prchestra backing the band but unfortunately they didn't have thay but they did have a 5 person choir of opera singers(2 men & 3 women)& it really enhanced the power of their brand of Melodic Power Metal.They did 2 encores the last of wich was a shortened cover of Mercyful Fate's "Black Funeral" the guy pulled off a good King Diamond impression.

My old friend Gary Holt of Exodus was there,tehir new album comes out next monday & their kicking off tour this week.

Yeah I like these guys, at least their newer stuff, when they quit being a death metal band. They do some amazing cover tunes too.

I saw them in Seattle and filmed the show. I was pretty impressed with how well they did with the limitations of just a small support cast.
