Saxon Play Glasgow Again

OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG!!!!.

This is absolutely awesome news and I never thought I would ever see the mighty Saxon play the Renfrew Ferry which is my 2nd favourite venue of all time. I'm actually sitting here stunned at this news - holy hell its unbelievable - and almost every day I check King Tuts and The Ferry's site hoping to see Saxon dates cos I knew the 29th of April was a possibility. Checked the Ferry's site yesterday and saw that Hells Bells are playing there on 22nd April, so I'll be going to that one as well but there was no mention of Saxon but I see it's listed now. Wooooohooooooooo I canny wait for this. And it would be totally orgasmic if Girlschool and Blitzkrieg could join them, but I'd quite happily settle for The Krieg. I'm telling youse something, this is gonny be one helluva year for awesome gigs.

Right I'm away for a wee lie down now, all this excitement isn't good for my poor little heart hehe!!!!

And Dan, you better put in for your day off work RIGHT NOW, so you can go to this concert, unlike at Edinburgh when at the last minute you couldn't make it cos of your job, so that was bollocks.

I'll see youse all down the front at the Ferry then:grin:     Holy Hell!!!!!!

Yip it's definitely Saxon alright who are playing. Here's what it says on The Ferry's website;-

Event
SAXON - 'A night out with the boys - 25th Anniversary of NWOBHM'
29/04/2006 Doors open at 7.30pm
In the 80's they were recognised as leaders of The New Wave of British Heavy Metal and today they are still going strong. The current line up is Biff Byford, Nigel Glockler, Doug Scarratt, Paul Quinn and Nibbs Carter.

Advance tickets £19.50 + b/fee. On the night price £21.

And I'm still gobsmacked that Saxon will be playing at The Ferry, it will be one sensational concert. And I don't think Girlschool will be the support at The Ferry cos on that date they are playing Paignton Bike Fest, so hopefully hopefully hopefully it will be Saxon + Blitzkrieg. That would just be fantastique!!!!! Please Saxon bring Blitzkreig to Glasgow with youse!!! £19.50 seems a bit steep for the Ferry though, was a bit taken aback at that price, but who cares I'd pay about £100 to see Saxon without even thinking twice about it.

Yes Paxoman there was a few problems at the Ferry last year with those damn noise restrictions cos that was why Blackfoot concert was cancelled cos earlier on in the day Blackfoot went above the permitted levels and the gig was pulled right at the last minute. I'm still raging over that fiasco. And there was a couple of other bands I was supposed to see there round about the same time, The Sabbath and Rainbow Rising and Man as well, and they all got cancelled but they were cancelled a few weeks before the actual concert, so I don't know if it was to do with the noise restrictions or it was something else. But the Budgie concert at the Ferry went ahead ok and so did HellsBells, so maybe everything is alright there now. Bloody well better be cos if I go and see Saxon only to be told at the door that it's been cancelled, I'd be suicidal and I'd end up jumping into that Clyde to put myself out of my misery.

WOOOOHOOO!!!!!

Can someone come round to my house and pick me off the floor cos I have just collapsed at hearing this mindblowing news. This is just totally incredible, the mighty Saxon plus Blitzkrieg at the Renfrew Ferry, WOW, I'm not joking I think I really have just creamed my pants BIGTIME!!!!!!! This is just fan-bloody-tastic news and my stomach right at this moment is doing summersaults just thinking about this superior concert. Away to order my tickets right now:D

Mad Dan McCafferty said:
get ur tickets quick, 200 sold yesterday as soon as went on sale!!!

Oooooh Dan don't do that to me you swine - I very nearly had a heart attack when I read your above post!!!!

I meant to order some tickets earlier on but then I got sidetracked and I then thought knowing my luck I'll get onto the Ferry only to be told that the damn concert's sold out. But thankfully no its okay cos I phoned Ferry there the noo and I've ordered 2 tickets, so they're getting posted out to me tonight. I very near threw up at the thought that I might not be able to get tickets. Roll on the 29th April cos you canny beat getting totally rocked out of your brain at the Renfrew Ferry:rock:

Hmm, Saxon will also play in Finland, but in west coast so it's like 400 kilometers from my town... Well, if any of my friends or brother is going there, I will be there too. :goggly:
