yeah, I know, Oz reassured me as well.

5150 II was like a bad 5150 I sound-wise, if you ask me. who cares about clean channel, extra eq or footswitch.

but you never know in these days of cutting costs... look what happened to the mighty Ampeg SVT [ja, I am a bass player] during the last few years. same amp, different plant, terrible results...

anyway, 6505 goes for ca. 1.100 euro in Germany, thinking about getting one then.

Last time I recorded I had a choice between my 6505+ and an original 5150 of the bands gear, we A/B'd the two and ended up going with the 6505+. FWIW.
