So yesterday I played around with some DI's I downloaded from here (they were in some the reamping competition last summer) to try out my new TS9 and my Tiny Terror. Something really weird happened, the guitars sound really weird. Kind of schwashy, like a really horrible mp3 file, or with some modulation effect, etc. And it's not comb filtering, first of all none of the mics are moving (obviously, haha) and second of all if I listened to each mic individually I could still hear this. But I have no idea what it is.
Anyways, here's the link to the track: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/3031979/Mixar från internetz/Reamp ts9 tiny terror test.mp3
Anyone had this problem before or have any guess what it is about?
And signal chain was: pro tools > fireface 800 > millenium passive DI box backwards > TS9 > Tiny Terror > Harley Benton cab 2x12 with V30's > 2xsm57 > Fireface 800 > Pro Tools Aux stereo track summing both channels > mono audio track.
Might be something with the signal chain, it's not exactly state of the art gear. But any thoughts and I'd be really greatful!
