Already have! On 5 it sounds like my house is going to separate from it's foundation! Haha.

It sounds beast, although Marcus I'm not sure you will dig it based on your tone preferences. Very woody, open, not much compression, but still brutal in it's own sense.

When I have the optimal mic position and can think of a good riff/song to record I'll post it right away!

Great buy!
I used one next to a 5150 for blackmetal project.. and after setting up the 5150 and thinking it sounded awesome, the 800 sounded so much more uhmm.. "alive".
The lowend sounded better, midrange was better, hiend was the onlything that was a tad dry for my liking, thats were the 5150 complimented it well, but in the end, i would rather have the marschall i think!

Did FOH when a thrash band (FKÜ) got up on stage, plugged a Folkesson (gain) modded JMP2203 in a Mesa cab, and holy shit! That's the sound right there! Through the PA that day, it blew the 5150s and Mesas away. Great frequencies, nice chug...I was really happy for a while. Then they finished the gig.

Nice! Did you use a tubescreamer? Which cab?

I totally know what you mean. While they still have preamp gain, it's much less buzzy than overgained amps I've used. That's what I love about the Marshall tone.

I don't max the preamp gain either, I usually keep it on 8-10 and just crank the volume.

Dude, Fear Factory - Demanufacture

JCM800 into Mesa 4x12" with a B-tuned 6-stringer & EMGs. Obsolete is the same amp, but gain modded (even more?). It's a bit more unique tone, but I'm not such a big fan of it. I prefer the Demanufacture tone more.
