Some of the bands listed above aren't strictly metal. Infact some are just straight out hardcore, imo. Otherwise good list.
I've recently been compiling a list of black and death metal in Scotland.

Black Science
http://www.myspace.com/blackscience666
Metal / Death Metal / Industrial

Blood Emperor
http://www.myspace.com/bloodemperor
- Death Metal

Cerebal Bore
http://www.myspace.com/cerebralbore2
- DM / Grind. From Glasgow. Fairly good production, slow / mid-tempo. A wee kick in the rear to a faster pace would be nice.

Daemonolith
http://www.myspace.com/daemonolith666
Black Metal

Desecrative Phoneticism
http://www.myspace.com/11970905
[http://www.myspace.com/desecrativephoneticism -broken]
- Experimental metal, has Black Metal influences.

Dubh
http://www.myspace.com/ukdubh
- BM band from Scotland. Raw production and low clarity, which is unfortunate as the songs underneath didn't sound too bad... just couldn't make it out. Probably heavily clipped due to an entire band being recorded into one microphone?

Embolism
http://www.myspace.com/embolismscotland
- Death Metal / Grindcore / Metal

Ex Infernis
www.myspace.com/exinfernis
Black Metal w/ Death Metal influence

Februus
http://www.myspace.com/februus_uk
"Atmospheric Gothic Metal"

Grenville Dodge
http://www.myspace.com/grenvilledodge
Metal

In Vino Veritas
http://www.myspace.com/invinoveritasuk
Black Metal / Ambient

Maelstrom
http://www.myspace.com/maelstromscotland
- Black Metal / Folk / Ambient

Nil
http://www.myspace.com/uknil
Ambient, Black Drone

Paraffin
http://www.myspace.com/paraffin
Metal / Thrash / Progressive

The Rain Doth Fall
http://www.myspace.com/theraindothfall
- BM influenced, essentially Doom metal. Very slow tempo that plods along with soft electronic melodies hiding behind the prevalent fuzz.

The Sow of Atholl
http://www.myspace.com/thesowofatholl
- Black Metal

Vostok
http://www.myspace.com/vostoksounds
- Experiemental BM. - might be currently lacking material been a while since I checked but I'm friends with the man behind this project.

I've also listed them here:
http://www.bloodlust.org.uk/bands/directory.html

I've omitted the bands already mentioned by the above poster. I recently saw Achren and Ex Infernis performing a gig and suggest that people may like to start with them. Then move onto to other bands if they have the patience. :)

I'm always happy to hear of more Scottish metal bands, feel free to email or pm me. I have a website (see signature) devoted to helping out Scottish metal - a very simple site that needs a little updating but functions as it was designed to. I've also created a set for forums, ideally created for local folk to keep in touch.
Here's a similar thread on my forums: http://bloodlust.org.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?t=9 I think I've pretty much covered them all in the above list.

Will have to check some of them put although I already know of a few of them. Already missed Sons of Slaughter suppotrting Nile due to my friend being rubbish & not leaving early enough. Man Must Die had to cancel from the bill for massacre & due to Exodus being rescheduled a few years back Madman is Absolute were no longer playing. Damn. Although I was lucky enough to catch Regorge playing with Nile in the cathouse on the black seeds of vengance tour. :headbang:

I'm from Scotland, and my band supported a band called Chao:Sphere last year, mainly Death Metal but they use sampling and stuff, awesome guys to hang out with. Check them out at www.myspace.com/thesphere

There's my favourite Scottish band, Alba Gu Brath. If you like Folk Metal then you really ought to try to make it to Gathering of the Clans in Coalville, Leciestershire on October 11th to see them.

Anyone i'm doing a fanzine on the Irish scene (particularly the north) and issue 1 will include an article drawing comparisons between the Scottish and Irish scenes. If you are going to D.O.D. festival in Laois in a few weeks then you can be amon the first to pick up a copy. Thereafter it will be availble from my myspace;

Yeah I think there's a few good sccottish bans. Why don't you try "Alestorm" really cool Pirate metal, if there's such a thing..

It seems like all UK metal bands are from England. Are there any metal bands from Scotland? I'm just curious, as I don't know of any Scottish metal bands.

Check out my band, we are based in Scotland, dig the female metal voice :) I'm the lead singer. We're just started gigging seriously and I'm telling ya we kick ass. The tracks you hear there don't have real drums on cause we recorded them when we didn't have a drummer but now we have a kick ass drummer and we are rerecording everything. Hope you like what you hear
