Just thought I'd post my recent conversation with Sveinof this awesome band from Norway (I believe). They put out 2 great albums in the late 90's, disappeared, and have recently resurfaced. Please visit their website and check these guys out. They are truly a great prog, power, speed metal band!

"Hello.

We are performin at an festival this summer and maby we can record that. We would love to come to ProgPower next year. I you fix that you be our special guest of ohner (was that spelled right???)
Thanks for youre support.

i think they'd need an actual label to sign them, and a record out the past million years to even be considered. besides that, i wouldn't be able to sit through their ridiculous lyrics. theyre the equivalent to a metal stryper

No, they have been broken up and recently have gotten back together again.

Also,

- I find that most bands whose first language isn't English cannot write good English lyrics (there are exceptions). This is especially true with power metal. After all, if I were to try to write lyrics in another language, I am sure that they would be terrible (probably much worse). There are many other things to consider when evaluating a band. Also, the last I checked, Sea of Dreams has more albums out than several of the bands who are playing at PP this year ;) .

I agree; and talk about ridiculous lyrics- Sonata Arctica have the most laughable lyrics of any band i have ever heard, but i still love them, and they are still headline material.

Sea of Dreams have so much potential and with a new album out (hopefully by the end of the year), i think they would be a nice opener for PP VII.
