seattle bands, the good, bad and ugly

My Sister's Machine was the shit! I have "Diva" on cassette. Their singer was the original singer from Alice In Chains, and I believe that Layne Staley was greatly influenced by this guy. The guitarist was arrested at an airport after he was mistaken for some high priest from the Church of Satan.

The OLD Howard Stern show (Channel 9) used to use a Fifth Angel song as the show's theme. There was a ripping lead in that tune that I'll never forget.

My personal favs from Seattle -

Jimi Hendrix (I know, I know - he sucks)
Heart (70's stuff)
Queensryche
Soundgarden (Badmotorfinger, Superunknown)
Alice In Chains
Gruntruck (Tribe rules)
NEVERMORE

There's a theory that Seattle's weather is the reason why there are so many good musicians and bands coming from there.

Dude, I totally agree with you except I like Hendrix and earlier Soundgarden (Loud Love). Also liked some Temple Of The Dog and really like MotherLoveBone and still do (even have a Mother Love Bone shirt). Didn't My Sister's Machine have a song called "I Hate You?" I really liked them. And you mentioned Gruntruck, I was about to mention them . The bad and ugly in my opinion: Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Tad.etc... and other grunge acts that followed. Liked Candlebox's first 2 albums. Whatever happened to them?

P.S. I remember Fored Entry "Microcasm/macrocasm" or something like that. Also, Sucidal Tendencies is from Venice, CA but I think that is already mentioned.
