Sennheiser MD421's Question....

Curious to what settings you fellows use for the Sennheiser MD421's on toms? What position is the roll off on at the back of the mic and why? I used to put it right in the middle - but lately have been putting in on the M setting and not liking the results to well. Thanks for any advice or light you may shed on the subject.

I have posted this question a long time ago also. Keep the bass completely in! Don't roll anything off! That's how you get the best results imo..

Always on the M. I never use the roll off on any mic honestly. I dont trust em. I trust a curve i can apply alot more than one than one that im stuck with.

Yeah, I leave the bass rolloff out too.

Just got home from a session.... left it on M... I would rather have the control myself later... even if it is a HPF on a console...
