Audix D2 vs Sennheiser MD421

Ok, so I read a lot of people who are seriously raving about the Audix D2.

I have 2 Sennheiser MD421 and 1 MD521 (Blackfire) that I use on toms.
Starting with a 5 toms setup this setup has 2 tommics short.

THe MD521 seriously sounds bad ass on the snare. So I like to start using that one on the snare drum. Now there are 3 rack toms and 2 floors.

I like to cover the floors with the MD421's and then buy 3 D2 mics.
But the problem is that I haven't try these yet.

All the samples are gone that were on mic shoot-outs so I'm really curious if this configuration would "hold up". 3 D2's + 2 MD421's.

Hope some people can give me some input on this!

D2 (and D4 and D6) = very good, you can go with that, no worries.
Then you'll get 2 D4 and will sell your MD421
