Hello people,
my drummer recently reduce his drumkit. Best choice he made. His sound is more tight, precised, its easier to move and set-up the kit for gigs, he tends to use the kit elements in a more musical way, and its gonna be so great to record it with only few quality microphones and having a good result.
He switched from :
10 - 12 - 14 rack Toms + 16" floor Tom.
to :
3 rack Toms only 10-12-14.
(not mentioning 1 extra ride and extra HH removed, 1 extra china, splash and crash removed, you got it).
We want Audix D2 on 10" and 12".
Do you guys think it is necessary to spend the extra bucks on a D4 for the 14", or a D2 will be also "good enough" ?
