Sentenced

oh com' on, delete this thread. we had this debate some months ago with a poll and your little band failed miserably as you remember.
 
its just true, listen to the other bands that came after, u find sooo much sentenced in it, just boring I think...
and sentenced created so great albums, like amok or frozen... I could listen these ones again and again!

Uhh.. I bought the latest album 2nd hand and.. eh. I think it sounds a bit tired. Like they tried too hard to come up with a huge and catchy chorus for every song. Didn't care for the lyrics much, either. They were quite pathetic if written seriously, but not taken far enough if they were ment to be self-ironic kinda lyrics...

still it's a decent cd to be played in the background while doing the dishes.

christ people. it's the same riffs again and again, can't you hear that? i don't know the band, and yes they might be very nice people and all but after down this band is going down fast...

check em lyrics, any of em, just pick one out and itll be about the dead and probably about suicide :p

AND same guitar riffs? I can agree with the fact their sound is the same no matter what song, but musically they differ from song to song.
 
Well I listened them for first time like in 97 and didn't liked to much, but strange, last year I heard Killing you, killing me and downloaded some videos and got interested again, am more into the Ville era :)
if you want check out Chaosbreed (T.Jarva on vocals and amorphis members), they play Death Metal ala Entombed, Bloodbath :D

i agree with Sol mostly.the newer lyrics sound to me a bit fake cos they are like 1 2 3.may have a depsressive mood,but still not the obscurity of anathema.well.they are two different bands anyway.we live in free countries,evrybody lets keep our opinions.music is to be listened to.so everybody chooses his stuff.
 
yahyah sure thing :p

but lately i rather listen to some stuff that is piercing your heart instead and leave you stunned. so no hardcore, thrash, happy power metal or punk. I need smooth stuff these days. so Anathema, Gathering, Antimatter, Ozark Henry, Jewel, Radiohead.... are spinned quite often these days.
