I guess they're just keeping it "real"

I'm pretty sure Jay Baumgardner at NRG tracked both. Different amps or not, it's the same dude turning all the knobs.
^ He's got the same "tact" maybe

No praising Sam Rivers? Dude is really good bassist, and really layed the groove down for Limp Bizkit, to me it´s him and Otto who saved them, Wes Borland is ok, Durst is a fucking retard and Djs don´t count

I like all LP´s albums till Chocolate Starfish, I remember I stupidly got an Ep a few years ago, like the Truth or something like that, and it was total shit, musically and lyrically. Can´t even remember anything about it, thank god

Nah man, you're not the only Sam Rivers fan around here:headbang:
The dude has some bad as fuck tightness and chops. I'd love to have a bassist like him to work with

most of the guys in the band are pretty good musicians. I love Wes Borland and John Otto, and the DJ, well he's a DJ, and does some nice stuff. I like Durst's voice, but I don't like the lyrics, of course.

I agree with some of you. I like the band, I like Fred's voice. I find the lyrics too simple, too childish, and boring. That's probably part of what made them so popular to begin with though.

I'm honestly curious to see if the rest of the album is like this, or if it's a glaring example of a song targeted to their previous "jock rock" audience that might co-exist with some material of more substance.

My hopes are not high though.

I think some of his lyrics are okay. The lyrics to Boiler aren't too bad, and the rhymes in N Together Now aren't too bad. But then you get Rollin' and it just sounds fucking gash in terms of lyricism.

Yeah, agreed. I think that would be my number one irritation with the band in general. They are extremely capable of producing some great stuff, and when they aim low, it's a let down.
