...Or Setlist from the Crypt
...Or Return of the Killer Setlist

Did it ever happen to you that you went to a concert and that the setlist played was real surprising or strange?

Yesterday I went to see Moonspell in Paris, never saw a setlist like that. I mean it wasn’t a bad one but a very dark and heavy one. All songs were real, real dark.
The set was quite short and they played only one song from Sin Pecado (!!), and this song was…Abysmo (?!) . I mean if I had to choose one song only from this album I would have taken any of the songs except Abysmo. They didn’t play any of my favourite songs of the album (and there are many; Magdalene, The Hanged Man, Dekadance, Let the Children cum to me, Mute…, in fact all of them at one exception). Playing songs from Darkness and Hope they didn’t pick Nocturna or Darkness and Hope. None of the Butterfy FX songs was played neither.

Once again I don’t say that this setlist was bad. In a way before going to htis concert I liked the work they did on “Darkness and Hope” and “Antidote” but I wasn’t addicted to it. Now, with what I saw and heard yesterday, I can really say that I’m much into it. Dark, darkest…

Yes of course,
yesterday they played Opium and Full Moon Madness from Irreligious.
Opium was clearly for me the best moment of their performance. This riff is gorgeous.
:hotjump:

Thay played Vampiria and Alma Mater from Wolfheart. Alma Mater is always a great moment in a Moonspell concert;)

Abysmo is me fave song off Sin/Pecado :(
The whole album is ace anyway

the setlist was sooo great, I really liked it, it was kind of different, without forgetting their best moments, specially Fullmoon Madness is one of the best songs ever and this Portuguese in the lyrics just sounds... ehm... sexy :loco:

btw here is the setlist, took a picture of it, dunno if u can read it clearly but anyway, may give a little bit an idea of what they played :)

no, they didnt and it sucked :( I thought they would be headliner as they have the new album, but well, it was Lacuna Coil, what was really strange... I mean they are not bad, I like them, but after a while its a little bit boring live and lots of ppl left after Moonspell too...

Just a question of opinion:cool:
In fact all the album is very good, abysmo too.:hotjump:

I was very surprised by Lacuna Coil.
Lot of people told me that they weren't a good live band. But really they made a huge success in Paris. Their show was excellent. I got three albums from them and the songs take a all new dimension live. Of course the two guitarist and the bass player weren't moving at all. Real Statues!:yell: But the two singers:dopey: . Cristina was so great! "Come in the pit or go home" did she say twice.
"Heaven's a Lie" was a real highlight. Great show. It is good to be surprised like that from time to time.

I missed most of Passenger's set as I arrived to the concert at 8.00 (it started at 6.00, really to early for those who work). But anyway the songs I heard (4 or 5) were real good. I think I will go to the store for a CD of them...

Hi!

There's something strange about that setlist... In Paris didn't they played The Antidote (the song) ? I remember that song very strongly (even images of Fernando raising his arm in the air saying "and all the thirsty can now approach..."

Am I totally going insane or what ? :D

yeah thats a great setlist, thanks a lot dragonlady.

but theyre coming here for a gig so im pretty sure the setlist will be longer.

i wanna hear more from irreligous and Darkness and Hope dammit
I would have loved more Sin/Pecado:worship:
And yes Nocturna if possible

Yes, in Paris they didn't even play "bis repetita" song (I don't know how to say Rappel in english sorry). I was very surprised. At one moment they said they were to play one last song, and it was effectively the last one! bou hou hou
