Hello there!
It've been searching the internet for some clues regarding audio interface that meets my expectations, then I thought that this place would be best to find out which one it would be.
To begin with, I'll point out how I'm going to use it and what are my worries.
I'm going to plug in a guitar with passive pickups directly to the interface. I'm working on Windows 7 64bit with Studio One DAW and amp sims+cabs+IRs (at least thats the beginning of my journey). Reading some stuff on internet I've come across opinions that newer interfaces would be good, because of driver support. Is it true? Also, I've seen some problems with interfaces like Scarlett Focusrite 2i2 - those can clip if used instrument input +guitar.
To sum up, I've got a little list of interface contestants, so here we go:
- Presionus AudioBox USB / AudioBox 22VSL
- Scarlett Focusrite 2i2 / 2i4
- Tascam US-144MKI / US-200
- M-Audio M Track / M Track Plus
As you can see, I picked 4 companies, 2 models each. What do you think would be best? :Spin:
