Seymour Duncan Pickup Booster pedal

Hmm, I can't really see how it would work for solos though, cuz increasing the gain before the amp is just gonna make the amp distort more, rather than adding any perceived volume (makes perfect sense of course, but I had to learn it the hard way when I got one of those EMG PA-2 preamp boosters :erk: )

The Firestorm preamp in my Dinky is able to add up to 25 dB to the signal, so there IS a noticeable change in volume... but yeah, those are used best as gain boosts for more sustain/drive etc.

For volume "boosting" you'd be better off with a second master volume...

What do you need it for?

What amp are you using?

If you use it in the efx loop = volume boost

In front = more boost (to make those mid-gain amps high gain)
