Someone mentioned Shakra in Q's Gotthard post---

They are your PC69 slot band!!! New cd is great and I believe they would tear it up!!

But, does Glenn like them?? I would think so.

Shakra IS what Gotthard use to be!

Shakra would be a DAMN good band to see at ProgPower! ALthough I haven't liked the new cd clips I've heard, their other cds are simply immaculate in terms of melody.

I'd prefer EVIDENCE ONE over Shakra, but Shakra wouldnt be such a bad choice either.

Shakra is very good and I would not be unhappy to see them.

A band that has more of a hard rock feel, that I think would go over very, very well at PP, is Cornerstone. I think Cornerstone would be a great 3rd slot band.

I think Jaded Heart would be another excellent choice for a melodic metal band ala Shakra or PC 69. I'm not excessively familiar with JH or Shakra but have heard good mp3 clips from both at cdinzane.com. Sounds like JH has a harder edge than Shakra which means I would give the nod to Jaded Heart if I had to pick one of the two.
