I finally downloaded this album (I heard its not available in the US, is that true? if not I'm buying it.) Anyways I loved Angels of Distress and for some reason totally forgot about this band and this album until now. It's beautiful! I'm really liking it. I don't even remember most of Angels... so I can't really compare. This seems to have a little more sense of hope in there, much like Nights Dew.

I definitely need more bands like this... so reccomend!

there are, its called doom metal. but i dont think they're that really doom with this record. i prefer their earlier works. i think the recording quality is kinda bad also.

there should be plenty online stores that sell it in the usa. try froogle.com or ebay. most likely amazon.com will have it.

btw, dont to let people know you're pirating files if you dont want troubles.

I know they're doom, i like a bunch of doom bands, but ive been out of the loop with doom for a year or two now so I have no idea what the good albums have been lately. on amazon its import and im too lazy for ebay... people talk about downloading all the time here I don't think its much of a worry

I've heard others say this, and I agree with them, that Shape of Despair is far too pretty sounding for the "despair" they are trying to convey. For easy-listening doom it's pretty well composed, but I think bands in the vein of Thergothon, Worship, Skepticism, and others, are much closer to acheiving what the genre was intended for.

Stormcrowfleet (alongside Bergtatt) is the best album ever. As for Shape of Despair, I've only heard Angels of Distress, but I'm in love with it. Gorgeous atmosphere!

Thergothon (as mentioned two posts before me) is the best funeral doom ive ever heard
and ill just throw out wormphlegm (im still waiting to hear this band though)
