lol reminds me of my grandpa. 85 and still cutting wood and helping at his friends farm.

one time he cut his finger almost right off, like cut the bone with a chainsaw! it was dangling around, we wrapped it up, and he wanted to keep cutting wood lol. needless to say we forced him to go to the hospital lol.

Yeah, I had one of them fixed in the military too, it didn't take more than like 6 minutes or so and the anaesthesia was pretty much the most painful part of it, that did hurt like shit.

i would post pics of my back teeth but i`ll spare you all lol ( had root canals, but no crown yet) they are lookin pretty hurtin lol the temp. filling is almost gone so i have huuuge holes lol

I had a painful one on my finger a couple of years ago. Since I am a stupid fuck and only go see a doctor when I completely mutilate my fingers or so (got that from my father, the old bastard would probably keep building houses if his legs and right arm were cut off with a chainsaw), I forced thick string between the ingrown part and the flesh, gradually increasing the amount of string for a week or so and ta-dah, it got better

DUDE, first off, good strategy on solving the ingrown issue - but are you saying your dad has/had only one remaining limb? How the hell did he manage to cut off both legs AND an arm with a chainsaw? Jeebus!!

Ingrown toenails are the devil. I've had them in both big toes, though the one in the right toe lasted FOREVER, I only got rid of it for good in November 07 and I had had it for like 6-7 years at that point? The infection went away on it's own over time and it was only really painful if something put pressure on it a certain way, I guess my toe just figured out how to cope with it.

That whole V cut in your nail thing is a myth, your nail grows from the back in the nail bed, it doesn't try to rejoin the pieces that are cut in a V, that's all dead tissue.

The way I got rid of mine was to take a piece of a cotton ball and roll it up and slip it under the corner of my nail, slowly pushing it farther and adding more cotton over the course of a few days to raise the nail up a mm or 2 so that it would stop growing into the skin. Worked fucking flawlessly and healed in like 4-5 days, been good ever since.

worst thing for me was my left lung collapsed a couple different times ... that whole chest tube procedure is pretty fuckin unpleasant to put it mildly

I also got hit by a truck when I was 14. Knocked me through the air, broke my leg in 3 places and pretty much ripped off the skin from my knee to my ankle

that hurt too

the KIDNEY infection was quite bad as I've described in another thread

Well, i guess im lucky, my nails grow in a way that cuts in to my toe no matter how i cut them, so im pretty much doomed!
