I've been trying to get more low end and punch into my mixes, so I made a short clip to try and get the guitars and bass working better together. Standard enough processing on the bass, Clean DI compressed hard with a good chunk taken out at around 500hz and low passed around 3khz, seperate distorted track then from 800 to around 4khz. Guitars are Axe Fx, drums are superior.

Any thoughts/suggestions about the guitars/drums/overall mix would be great as well.

the relationship between the two are really good. they gel nicely. BUT i feel like the guitars are too harsh in the high-mid/treble area. if you made cuts on the guitars at 800hz and 3-5khz, you would have a better tone overall. or you can just ower the treble on the guitar amp. but you DID kill it with the bass and guitars.

Thanks for the listen! I actually think I have the guitar tracks boosted in my DAW at 800 and 2k  I kinda noticed them being a bit harsh alright, must go back and drop the boosts and see how it blends in then! Might drop the gain down a small bit as well, should take a bit of the harshness off.
