Should I buy a Gibson Les Paul Classic?

I bought an Ibanez Rg for 550, best guitar I own.

my dollars race away really fast one way or the other, putting $1700 of them into a guitar is really just diverting them from things that aren't going to give me as much long term use and enjoyment. plus, you can always make more money. i'm not going to let that shit prevent me from getting what i want.

Just make sure you keep your ass pplanted and play the fuck out of it. Spending 1700 dollars on something you never use sucks. I have tons of shit I spent loads of money on that I never use, lol. Its just the type of personality of mine. I dive head first into things obsessively and then get bored momentarily, it seems.

my rg421 is sweet, the V8 and V7 pups are pretty good

stock pickups in my peavey, which i LOVE otherwise, just aren't very good.

I'd say hold off and continue what you're doing for about 3-6 months. If you still want it that badly, then bite the bullet and buy the fucker.
