If clients don't bring new strings and skins, I'll send them home.
Or I tell them: "a set of skins costs about 80€, me sitting there for 4 hours trying to fix you tone will have to be paid by the our and will cold 200 in total"....usually they go with the skins then.
Seriously, in the booklet it'll say "mixed and mastered by..." and not "sorry, we're cheap and stupid".
