Hello, I'm an american born Fin, and i want to move to Finland, but I was wondering how are the shows there? Is there always local bands playing and tours come through?

If you live in the Helsinki area, there's quite a wealth of live shows. Finland also boasts the biggest metal festival in Northern Europe, Tuska.

You can see recent gigs from this page, it's set to Lokakuu, which is October, but you can choose to look at what gigs there are during other months as well. Hope you return to the fatherland.

Yeah, it's really going well with metal people especially around the capital area. Many signed bands play in same places as the unsigned and it's not unusual to see both kind of bands during the same night.

In the summer there are lots of festivals, and lots of places have local and not local bands playing. Go there. It's a wonderful country.
