For all those non-guitarists out there looking for something to lay down some riffs. Shreddage: Electric Rhythm Guitar: Rock & Metal
I just saw this over at another forum and thought it might interest some here. I'm unsure about the technology as they state that it is not loops, but what they say are DI files but it runs in Kontakt. It tunes down to Bb according to the site. Check out the audio demos - sounds pretty cool even coming from a guitarist. They really are trying to get rid of us

Shreddage is a DI guitar sample library like no other. Rather than trying to cover every possible technique or style, it is focused entirely on rhythm playing in a rock/metal style. The result of this intense design focus (and two full years of research and development) is an extremely playable and realistic instrument.
