"What have been the reactions to the CD so far? Do people misundestand your views and message?
Strictly musically speaking, the reactions we have got so far have been really overwhelming and positive. All reviews from regular metal media we have read so far have been very good, but the CD has only been out for three months now, so there is bound to be some variation to this. Several very interesting analyses of our lyrics have also surfaced from people of all kinds of worldviews; such feedback is always interesting considering we put a rather big focus on that aspect of Sigrblot.
As expected, several webzines and publications to whom we sent the CD have written us saying that while they liked the actual music, they are unable to review it. The given reasons have been ranging from offensive artwork and lyrics to having an overly political outlook. One of the cowards using the latter excuse was asked why he had reviewed the latest Iced Earth album ("The Glorious Burden") when having such a policy, as that one has a far more political and "racist" content than our debut; albeit, in a "politically correct" manner. If you are fortunate enough to have managed to avoid this revolting piece of gung-ho Americanism, it features a few songs dedicated to the September 11 attacks and its aftermath. This is what we imagine a speech by George W Bush would sound like if he actually wrote them himself, without his government nursemaids whispering in his ear and wiping the drool from the corner of his mouth. The editor refused to answer our questions."
Hahaha. Oh, and by the way, the Sigrblot album is probably top 3 material for this year, for anyone who might have missed it.
