whats your thoughts on this? Vinnie Jones let slip on some interview thingy on this new years program. He said that he was auditioning for and i quote 'the new hannibal movie''. this was news to me, anyone know anything about it? a trilogy, hmn i think its a bad idea, should have left it as it was, 3 is pushing it i think.

Yeah, their starting filming on the first of Harris's books about Hannibal, "Red Dragon". It's been in the works for a while. Anthony Hopkins, Edward Norton, Emily Watson, Harvey Keitel, and Ralph Fiennes have all already been cast and signed-on.
Actually, it was the first of those books to be made into a movie. It was originally done back in the 80's, before Silence Of The Lambs. The film was re-named "Manhunter" and starred Brian Cox as Hannibal. The film never did any real business, so it's become a bit of a rarity in video stores.

Manhunter, yes. I saw that not too long ago. I didn't really like it and lost interest. It just wasn't as appealing to me as the latter 2 works.
New Hannibal movie...hmmm, I think this is a bad idea as well. I like Edward Norton, though.

If they could make the third movie as progresivily better as the earlier movies, it would be fantastic. But I really doubt they could pull it off.
