around 1:07 starts the fast shredding part (if it is shredding?) anyway, do you alternate every string? and on g|16-14, do you just use your index finger for both notes?

stop being twats to him and just give him an answer, he's only asking for help and you just choose to insult him instead

SERIOUS ADVICE: If you can't sweep pick fluently, don't even think about trying this song otherwise you'll shit all over it like most people do.

No, I can sweep well, so I know that this song isn't for beginners. Seriously, fucking this shit, IF YOU CAN'T SWEEP PICK FLUENTLY OR DO NOT KNOW HOW TO EXECUTE ANY SHAPE PROPERLY, LEARN THAT FIRST!!!!!

And how the fuck does one learn shapes if not by learning the shapes used in songs... It's the same fucking thing as sitting infront of a tab book with a basic minor arpeggio and looking at a tab of a song you like with the same information but in a musical context. I learned to sweep by learning SNBN.

So you shut the fuck up you English prick, kiss mah baws and stop trying to act "I'm so 1337 shredder, you can't sweep and you'll never learn cause if you can't do it, don't try it".

Guy who started the thread.

Sweeping is picking out an Arpeggio using a different technique than alternate picking.

In alternate picking, there is one pickstroke for each note. In sweeping, you work downwards and upwards with one stroke...

i.e

---d--d--d----u--u-u
E-------12-15-12---------
B----13----------13------
G-12---------------12----

The way this works is you pick it in the same way you'd strum a chord.. but after you hit one string, you take your finger off that note after it's been picked and move onto the next one so the notes don't ring together. The aim is to have one smooth pick movement.

This takes a lot of rpactise to build up the coordination but with practise, you won't even have to think about it....

And yes, i learned to sweep by listening to Silent Night Bodom Night so don't let these stupid pricks put you off. Crank your amp, sit down with the guitar and rock it till it's perfect.

Good luck!

Gavin, you're a loser.

I'm a loser cause i helped out a guitarist instead of mocking him? Dude, 10 bucks says you're a shit guitarist yourself. Infact, i know so.

You may be able to play fast and clean and with great melody.. but your attitude is shit and that makes you a shit musician.
