Silly webcam/sound interface question

Hai guize!
I plan to get a new usb webcam which has a built-in mic and I was wondering if I could just plug and use it with my Firewire Solo or do I have to connect a normal (or a headset) mic to my interface for talking with other people on the web? Please note that the computer itself doesn't have an onboard sound card so will a usb webcam automatically detect the interface?

You're trying to run the mic through the interface? You could just set your default sound device to your interface.

Nope, there is no seperate mic. I am talking about the web cams with integrated mics, connected via USB.

Do you know a specific model? I checked out the Logitech web site, but could not find any info regarding this.
