This was a gutting thing to hear. Simon also played in Trillium, who we toured with in Europe earlier this year with. So we got to know him then and after the festival Simon, Peter, and Christopher stayed with Ann and I for a day seeing the city before they went on vacation to New Orleans. He was totally normal and we had a good time. Very shocking news, and very sad.

"Dese are my wocals" is what he'd always say when soundchecking his mic...we all had a running joke about it. =(

This was incredibly terrible thing to wake up to this morning. I am still in shock and very saddened. I spoke to Simon at great length the last day of ProgPower, and he was also one of the last people I said goodbye to before the cops kicked us out of the Artmore on Saturday night. Super nice guy. We had plans to meet up at Metal Female Voices Fest in a few weeks for a drink...just really sad that I will not get to say hi to him again
