Simpler times.....

It was about this time that TSO and I started hanging out and sharing music and it was very cool to lay claim to who discovered which band.
There were definitely some bragging rights that went along with being the first person in our group to "discover" a band. We had no problems teasing each other and rubbing it in! :)

Metal Massacre Vol 1 at TSO's we listened to that tape all the time!
Metallica - Kill 'em all at Kenneth's (is there a face in the blood?)
Ah, yes, THE FIRST METAL MASSACRE. The album that started it all. First releases from Savatage, Ratt, Metallica, Black-n-Blue, Bitch, Malice, and Cirith Ungol. We sure did play the hell outta that cassette and so many of them went on to do great things.

I had forgot about Squires influence on me. Discovered alot of great metal bands through him. He kinda lost me though, when he went on his GWAR kick a few years later. GWAR was too much for me!:loco:

I didn't know he got into GWAR but I'll agree too much for me too.

I remember he had a live recording of US festival with Van Halen playing their new song "Jump" which was months before it was released.

He was like you with KISS. Last two times I saw him, '91 and '93, I believe, he had collected all their records, their video, the dolls...er action figures :) , and a bunch of posters. Visiting him was like visiting the gore house at some creepy carnival. It was around that time he also had a pet rat that was allowed free reign of the house. You'd be sitting there talking to him and all of a sudden a foot-long black rat would crawl off the back of the couch and onto you shoulder! Yep, it was a creepshow!

By the way, check your PMs.
