Just a reminder: Dave had to re-learn how to play guitar (and to use his left hand in general) due to severe nerve damage in his left arm, probably from all the heroin he did back in the day. This might explain his 'sloppy' playing.

I'd actually love to hear Images re-recorded to sound like Octavarium. It's a great album but they emphasized too much on the highs and kinda drowned out the mids and lows.

this is getting off-topic but, james' voice won't be improving on the 1992 version if I&W. and kevin's vibe then was just part of what made the album so epic. rerecording would not meet the standard.

and once again in topic, it doesn't matter what 'excuse' dave has for his sloppy playing. the point is that he didn't do it as good as it could have been.
