Singer of Drowning Pool found dead.

I don't think it's something to make fun of regardless what band he was in. It's still a human life lost. Probably do to drugs, which is the person's fault and nobody elses but still... It is sad when this kinda thing happens. I feel bad for the band and for his friends and family cause like anyone else, this guy had those as well. I hope they will be able to cope with this loss.

If anyone decides to talk shit and make jokes. Do yourself a favor. Grow a heart or save the crap for Blabbermouth.net's board and be a jack ass over there. Respect the owners of ultimatemetal and let this place be on of the few places left online with some dignity.

take care

Sorry, I don't have time to mourn over the loss of life that doesn't affect me in any way.

I didn't know him... he didn't affect me in anyway: Just because he was 'famous' doesn't mean I should feel sympathy.

That's ok. Having compassion other than for that of yourself is something that takes effort to learn.

good luck,

JAH

Agreed but I dont think that gives people the right to say "good riddance to another numetal band, he was worthless" Not that you are saying that but you know what I mean.

People die all the time, why should I care about one person who I've never met and have no respect for. However I do feel sad about the unnecesarry loss of life that occurs all around the world, but one more nu-metal singer really doesn't matter to me. My condolences go out to any of the friends/family/fans of the band.

No, I'm not cheering on his death. That would be just as bad as saying that I feel bad over it.

JAH: Compassion for loved ones and other people is far different from getting all weepy about the death of a complete stranger. If the corpse-in-question was that of a random city person, I would see a lot of "Where the fuck did that come from?" In other words, no sympathy. Just because someone is famous and makes (shitty) music doesn't mean that they'd deserve sympathy more than anyone else.

So, to all the people who feel sympathy for this person, go read your newspapers: I gaurantee that there's a ton of people who led more productive lives in your obituary section that deserve sympathy far more than this man.

Not that Chuck Schuldner makes shitty music BUT I feel the same way about him. So from here on out I dont wanna see anyone say "its such a shame about Chuck" This is meant for metalheads in general.

Yer make a laughing matter of it. Its not funny he was a human being and has a family and freinds regardless if you like him or his music.

RIP Dave

(what a waste)

When ANYBODY dies it is bad in some way...

So it is bad that this guy died, and I feel sorry for his friends and family.

If your post is going to be shit-stirring, and is not helpfull or you know it will get you a flame, then don't fucking post it... don't start shit damn...

Yeah but with compassion for "life" in general it is a totally different thing than it being about a singular feeling towards who died. Doesn't matter who it is. It's about being man enough to not let your own tough cynical facade get in the way of showing some sense of humility. It's definitely not about weeping or taking your precious time to feel for another. I mean that would leave yourself out in some way. Right? I'm sorry I brought it up but I didn't realize it's such a outlandish idea over the thought of having some feeling of somber because of a death. Sure we can't have remorse for human life thats deleted every second. Thats just to general and tougher to grasp but knowing your own mortality and that you're still here is something to cherrish and not take for granted, paying homage to that with a simple split second sigh to a death isn't going to hurt you, if anything it will only make you better eternally.

take care , JAH

Which band is Drowning Pool? I listen to the radio on rare occasions, but I bet I'd recognize a song by them. I can only think of Disturbed and Puddle of Mudd, so I am getting Drowning Pool confused with those two.
