Sinner

Hey, just wondering if you guys know anything about a band called Sinner? I picked up a used copy of their new one called "there will be execution." It's not bad, it has it's moments....
This thing has a bonus disc where they make an attempt to cover Metallica's "wherever I may roam.":loco:

I have that album as well. As you may now it contains Mat Sinner (also of Primal Fear) and Henny Wolter (ex-Primal Fear), so the audible comparisons are great. I'd suggest it's a more stripped down, not quite as speedy version of PF with different vocals of course. I like it, it's good stuff to have going as worthy metal on my stereo, but I don't find myself actively diving into it like other albums I own. It's better than their last though.

Thanks for your post. So I guess their last one was a complete turd, then?! This is the first I have heard of this band. I was aware of Primal Fear, didn't put the two together. :loco:

I am a fan of Sinner but a bigger fan of Primal Fear. Sinner is good in my book. I enjoyed their last album but I like "The Nature Of Evil" and "Judgement Day" better from that band. Pick up "Black Sun" from Primal Fear you should enjoy that album.

They vocals aren't as bad as you might have envisioned them.
Sounds very Americanized...
Cool. So the lead vocals don't sound operatic, and there are no annoying multi voice vocal harmonies during the chorses? There are the aspects of power metal vocals that I find really irritating. I can't stand the vocals to bands like Rhapsody, Luca Trulli, Primal Fear, Helloween, Blind Guardian, Statovorius, Hammerfall, etc..
