Ska Mix (real drums/trumpet/trumbone/bari-sax)

typical ska band I guess.
the drums are all how I recorded them. I didn't do any replacement except some 50/50 with the kick. I went for an all natural Blink-182/poppunk kit sound.

Guitars:
Clean was a Dual Rec. Clean channel.
Distortion was Marshal JCM900 with a Orange Cab. went for a crunchy distortion on it.
e609 & 57. miking the cab.

Bass was DI.

Vox was through the studio's u87.

I couldn't do too much with the brass and reed insturments as I'm limited on mics.
Trumbone & Trumpet: close miked with a 57. distanced with a Neuman TLM 49
Baritone Sax: closed miked with both of the for-mentioned mics. The TLM 49 was set at around the middle of the instrument instead of the bell however.

sounds pretty epic! everything sounds amazing, especially the horns and the bass

edit: i'd maybe throw some stereo delay on the horns (not to give delay, but to give illusion of two different tracks slightly panned).
