Slate Digital FG-X - Group Buy

Damn... The day I knew I wanted in on this, I went to ebay and purchased an ilok (that has a protools hd license on it for some reason, lol) and then went straight to the bank and deposited $300 to cover this and any other random crap I wanted to buy.... then and only then, I asked to be put on the list.

Definitely psyched, stop dropping out!

Didnt Brett say "dont add yourself unless you have the money and are not gonna drop out"....or something like that??

Ya and I have the $169 I was originally going to pay. The determining factor for most of us who dropped out was price / budget, some of which like me have never been part of a group buy. If the initial thread had stated the full $249 was going to be held from day one till everyone purchases then I never would have signed up as I am sure most of the others would not have as well.

So the "no drop outs" thing isn't fair cause it was never stated this was how it was going to work.

Regardless of who drops out, this is still a great deal no matter what our final number is. I'm staying in - this is what Slate meant by confirm.

This makes me less frustrated with this whole thing, at least a few people here understood that when it said $249 it meant $249. Anyone who "confirmed" needs to realize they committed at $249, any lower price that happens to come about after that is just an added bonus.

Some people did say "I'm in if we get 60 people," which at least shows they understand how the process works, but the onus is on them after they commit. If everyone drops out, they are the ones who took the chance and figured the odds were that there would still be at least 60 people, not the people selling the plugin.

Jeez guys. If a hold of an extra $100 that you won't actually have to pay is enough to make you drop out, you probably have way more important things to spend that $149 on than a plugin...

After understanding the $249 thing, that is a bit of a stretch for me right now (just bought trigger via crossgrade deal). If someone wants my spot and that is allowed, they can have it. BUT, I wouldn't want to be the one that screws everyone over by dropping so I will stay in if my spot can't be filled.

Thanks-

Really disappointed so many people are dropping out. If you didn't want it or didn't have the funds, you shouldn't have signed up. Really unprofessional.

Anyway, I'm still in.

Well I can stay in if they don't let someone else take my spot. I wasn't planning on buying trigger yet but I had to take advantage of that 3 days sale.

Well, can I just pay the 169$ with my VISA?

Or does the paypal website have an integrated working solution for transfering the last 100$ back to my account?

Just so I get this right, I can transfer money to my paypal account, and then later transfer unused money from paypal back to my own bank account?

If so i'm in.

sorry if I seem a little confused, but my experience with paypal is somewhat limited.

I believe you can use your VISA to pay. That is how I have paid for all of my previous Slate purchases. Slate Digital uses the paypal interface for billing/purchasing purposes. So you would have the option of transferring money into your Paypal account or paying with a credit/debit card. The credit card with place a hold for $250, but you will only be bill whatever our final cost is, not the $250 (unless that is the final price).

Hope this helps.

Just have to say that I am not dropping out due to funding problems - I'm dropping out because I don't feel the plugin is superior to my current methods.

I should have done a more thorough test before signing up for this and I accept responsibility for that - but I'm not going to spend $150 just so I don't get yelled at by some dudes on the internet - especially when there are more than enough people for everyone to get the max discount.

I'd be very interested to hear GClip, or any clipping procedure outperform the FG-X especially on metal (the straight clipping just obliterates the kick once you try to get some decent gain) but anyway...

The form is almost done.. Who is the current group buy master? We need to figure a way to get all group buy members the form link, discretely.
