I thought this album was gonna be shit considering they have been harping on about it or what seems like 12 months, and while I have noticed it is getting a few reviews saying it is shit, I think at least the first song World Painted Blood is the best thing they have ever done. Heresy you say? Well you need to listen to how menacing it sounds.

And over all I think it might well be the best album they have doen, a good mix of the excellent melodic stuff they put out in the 90's and a return to the Thrashier stuff of the 80's.

I actually had a really good haul the other week, but this is the only real stand out from it besides Floggy Molly's Swagger album, but I knew that was gonna be ace.

I would have been interested to listen to the new tracks when I saw them, but A) I couldn't hear shit and B), Tom didn't sing anyway. Meh.

the whole thing with Slayer is that I love them but their last few albums sound the same.

it all comes down to how fast they can play and they do it well, but the last album sounded like so many before and most of the songs sounded the same.

in honestly, I love it when they break up their style a bit, such as Seasons in the Abyss or some of the things they did on the Reign In Blood album.
I even like God Hates Us All but they took a lot of listens to get into.

so, hope that this one is good and may buy it sometime.

I expect it to sound just like previous Slayer albums! But no doubt I'll get it at some stage anyway.

Funny this is that it does branch out a little, I mean personally, Slayer bore me when they are just going balls out because it all sounds so fucking monotone and each song blends into another, but the newie I think is good because it breaks up a little, and that is why it is getting a shit sorta reviews, because it isn't Slayer man!!!....
