Slipknot Vocialist To Join Anthrax

I never liked Anthrax anyway.

As for Corey Taylor, I am not a fan of either Slipknot or Stone Sour, but both bands are popular here.

Though, I rather like 'The Nameless' by Slipknot. Maybe because my friend has played it over a dozen times already, and its stuck in my brain.

I think Corey has an awesome voice. His clean vocals are WAY better than most metal vocalists...and his screams are very aggressive and emotional....unlike monotonous uninspired death bands.

I am also excited to see the results.

I am a HUGE Belladonna Anthrax era fan...they were up there with Testament, Megadeth, and Metallica as far as metal giants back in the day. Too bad their sound changed when Belladonna left...they went to rock stuff instead of moshing metal.

Anyway...fu#$k all you that hate on Corey just because he was in a popular band - his vocals rock.

PS - Slipknot's first 2 CD's are way more hateful and aggressive than TONS of metal bands that you guys preach about on here. lol Up your asses!

I hate him because his vocals suck. Oh, more hateful and aggressive. Is that your definition of good heavy metal, hateful and aggressive? You should really get into moshcore then, and hardcore too, which is, as we all know, the most respected subgenres of heavy metal.

No, that's my definition of good death metal vocals. He's got very smooth clean vocals, and very emotional screams...which to me is a great metal vocalist depending on how he chooses to use his powers.

I'm not going to compare him to Mike Patton of Faith No More...but Mike has amazing metal vocal range. When he decides to belt some screams and growls, his vocals slay most death metal bands. No one considers him a metal singer, but he sure could do it if he wanted.

I hate Stone Sour, but the first 2 Slipknot CDs were badass. He's more than capable of carrying a metal band. After hearing the past few Anthrax CD's though, I doubt they'll return to metal of old. Still...I will pick it up.

I'm aware of that. My belief is that the vocals on Slipknot's Iowa CD is way more hateful and aggressive than 80% of all death metal bands.

The voice of reason here. I can hack Extreme Metal fans criticising Power Metal, but to say Slipknot/Nu-Metal is better than many Power Metal bands is taking it a bit too far.

P.S. No one that I know of believes the vocalist of Dragonforce to be a singer, let alone a good one. Halford doesn't use falsetto either.
