bloodbath is more heavy/crushing/extreme than suffocation or immolation? hell even if you don't like suffo, you should easily be able to acknowledge that they are a 100x more heavy/br00tal than bloodbath.

You can say Suffocation is faster, but "heavy" and "brutal" are debatable depending on how you view metal. Bloodbath is pretty freaking heavy, and the vocals are DEFINITELY more hateful sounding than Suffocation. Akerfelt sounds like he is spewing blood and glass from his throat.

Never seen Suffocation live...but I'm sure they put on a show similar to Cannibal Corpse, which is by far the most brutal band I've seen live. I have not seen Bloodbath.

Bloodbath is not just brutal and heavy and actually have melodies/harmonies that are great. I can't really think of more than a few newer death metal bands that do which is why Bloodbath stands out to me. I listen to old death metal and think of guitar harmonies/melodies being very important to death metal.
