Pretty sure The Sword are headlining.

I'll probably be hitting this up in SF as well as a Symphony X date I was planning on hitting is at the same venue the night before.

I've always associated The Sword with the likes of Wolfmother, but I'm not sure if that is fair or not. I listened to one song and it did nothing for me, sounded like second rate stoner. Why should I bother with that when I don't even own any sHEAVY or 500 ft. of Pipe yet?

Mike + Jerry: w(here)tf is the El Rey? I'd rather go to San Diego but if ya'll are going to this one then perhaps my choice is already made.

I shant even look into The Sword then :loco:

Nadrian, Jerry hates Slough Feg. The woman and I will probably try to make the El Rey (it's right on Wilshire, in the Miracle Mile area). Since it's a Friday, I may not be able to make it due to work though

May drive up to San Fran the following night to catch em' if I can't make Friday.

Saturday

You seen what Death Angel are capable of. My only fear is that they play an entire set primarily consisting of their new material, which from all reports I've read, is a far cry from the Ultraviolence. I'm going to listen to it later and judge for myself. :dopey:

Probably Fake NAD at that one. I sold all my Testament CDs and never got into Death Angel.

Dude I had no idea there was no Reign in Feg. You should listen to Twilight of the Idols while ridiculously drunk and see if you change your mind. If you've already done that, that's cool. :loco:

I drove to SF to see Hammers once, so that is a definite possibility.

Hmm. There is still some time to decide wtf shall be of the in I suppose.

I seen them piss drunk at HCII. While they got a rouse out of me, so did a cellphone pic of 36 yr old pancake titties that looked like they were trampled on by Krusty the Clown. Hell even that band Sonic Syndicate (the Soilwork Clone) had me nodding my head in drunken glee. When I'm sober and have my wits to me, Scalzi Feggot irritates me nether regions worse than Cara DeAngelis' re-used Maxi Pad.

NO GO

I have no qualms with The Sword... Haven't really payed much attention to them though. If I don't enjoy them live I can just scoot out pretty easy.

The sword seem to be leading that trend of stoner rock bands that are following Clutch's success.

Exposure for Slough Feg isn't a bad thing. Maybe they'll be more then 20 people there next time they make it to NYC.
Whoa, are Clutch successful?! That's pretty rad I guess, even if Beale St. didn't move me much. Not a bad album, just not great.
