Exactly. It kinda freaks me the fuck out to tell you the truth.

Whenever I hear mainstream rock from this period being played in a T.V show, I get really reminiscent. "Disarm" played as the backdrop to the closing moments of the Shield and something began to stir inside me. I virtually own zero albums from this period. I was in my teens, and I needed all my cash for beer.

Disarm you with a smile
And cut you like you want me to
Cut that little child
Inside of me and such a part of you
Ooh, the years burn

I used to be a little boy
So old in my shoes
And what i choose is my choice
What's a boy supposed to do?
The killer in me is the killer in you
My love
I send this smile over to you

:headbang:

Siamese Dream is still my favorite Pumpkins record. I do not own anything past Adore though, so I have not heard it all.

I used to be really attached the the old stuff though. They were my go to band when I was feeling down.

I saw them live in October (2008). Greatest concert I've ever seen. They play basically every song you could ask for, plus new stuff, and they also jammed for quite a while. Couldn't have been better.

That song in the Watchmen trailer is good. Then I looked it up and found that the album version is not the same (from that batman movie I guess it was). Does said trailer version currently exist elsewhere?

ok so turns out it's just slightly differently named and might possibly also be on that same batman soundtrack.

Either way the song exists on the internets somewhere.

Yeah, I had trouble with that, and I really like that song. the correct title is: "The Beginning Is the End Is the Beginning"
Apparently they have a song that has the opposite as its title. I wish all their shit was like that.

Both of these songs are on the Batman Forever (or perhaps Batman and Robin) soundtrack.

I always thought this band was really overrated... whats the appeal?

have you listened to Gish or Simease Dream? The appeal includes awesome stoner/psychedelic riffs played flawlessly over fuzzy layers of melody, creating some of the most important songwriting from the 90's.

When metal died in America in 91 to 97 , I started listening to European metal. I never bought a Nirvana, Pumpkins, Pearl Jam or any other early to mid 90s album. Instead it was Early Inflames, Dissection, Immortal , and At THe Gates for me. THank god Overkill was still releasing good records and Iced Earth too.
