Sneap Samples Compressed?

I know how to search. The reason I posted it is because I can't find the answer using any search terms i've tried. A simple yes or no is fine, or the thread can be closed. No biggie.

Search through google, the search here sucks...As the viking said, start reading, we have a sticky that tells you exactly how to use google to search this forum.

Just to clarify....

We are not trying to be dicks, but tbh there have been a shit ton of "how to (insert cool plugin or preset name here)" going on in this forum as of late. While we don't mind the questions we can tell you that the question your asking has been asked a ton of times already and a simple search will do you justice. honestly the answer is in the thread where the snare was posted initially, and Andy says it in the post where he links to the files :)

Most of us have been here 3+ years when the forum was really small and only had 50 or so of us running around on it. We like to welcome new people and help out where we can, but this forum really is not designed for the (for lack of a better term "noob"). The occasional noob question is perfectly fine, but when we get 50 people all asking "how to pod, vst, lepou, IR, re-amp, joey sturgis, andy sneap c4," we get tired. Especially when there are stickies on ALL of these subjects.

Granted the UM search function does suck, but Google doesn't. Use Google to search the forum and I guarantee you will find the answer's you seek here.

In my 2 years of reading before even attempting to post I learned more then I did when I actually attended school and interned at a studio.

Please don't mistake us for dicks :)

I'm actually using Behindert's Kick and Snare, and Andy's Toms btw, I was just wondering if most of the samples, including Andys, are actually compressed before they are put out in the wild.

Are the samples we have from Andy already compressed and Eq'd?

Does it matter? For any sample that you use, you need to think about how the sample works in your mix. You need to decide whether a sample needs EQ or compression, and it may or may not regardless of if it already had EQ or compression put on it when it was made.

I dont know if the Sneap samples have been compressed, but I would say they have been EQed. They sound like they have too scooped a sound with too much high end for them to have not been sculpted that way.
