end up making it to Zorn's fiftieth b-day celebration in September? I made it to a couple of the last shows, caught an amazing Electric Masada set and a jaw-dropping improv session. Some of the best shows I've ever seen.

I saw a few - Bar Kokhba and Goetia/Necronomicon. Wish I had made it to more but alas life can be suffocating.

@FuSoYa -- Those were the world premieres, weren't they? String pieces from what I gathered, no? Any good? I won't ask about Bar Kokhba, that must've been sublime.
And don't get me started about life being suffocating! I would've spent a month and caught every show in a perfect world.... Specially since I really fell in love with NY...

Yeah they were super intense. I better understood JZ's string compositions seeing them from a live perspective... hence these two pieces are now my favorite out of all of his way-out string works.
