They didn't play "The Ballad" there, man. Check again. The only ballad they performed was "The Legacy" (not off "The Legacy", but off "Souls of Black")

when chuck was introducing the song he got confused and thought "the legacy" was off the ritual but he turned to eric who quickly corrected him and told him it was off souls of black!

max - what you wrote didn't happen - you got confused with the beginning of "let go of my world" - before playing this one Chuck says it's from Souls but then quickly corrects it's from the Ritual
