Just wait till your kid leaves home... ever. My parents are like the kings of mushy for the first month after I leave.

I think back to my kindergarten/elementary days...walking to school for like a mile alone with a couplke friends. Damned if you can let your kid do THAT any more with all of the wackos out there.

Yeah, my 3 1/2 yr old is gettin ready to have to go back to daycare as I will be returning to full time work. And my 1 yr old will be entering for the first time. Sucks, they get sick more at school, means more $$$ to the doc... and I've grown so used to them being home with me and having this day to day schedule that I don't know how well I will be making the transition.
Yeah I work from home so I have always had the two kiddos here running around and making noise etc. Now I just have my girlie...and hoping she doesn't force me to play Barbie dolls! Haha.

i still remember my first day of school, my mom dropped me off and i'm sure was getting emotional but i didn't notice and all these other wee 5 year olds were crying and holding onto to their parents and a few were totally freaking out.
i just stood there thinking "huhhuhuuhuhuhhuh wussies." yes, i invented the butt-head laugh in 1984, take THAT mike judge!!!

mind you our kid is off to cub camp for a couple of nights soon
he's been before, but thats a real worrier
the missis won't even let me drink when he's away in case we have to drive off in the middle of the night to save him
