They're great! I can't imagine somebody ever totally ignoring a promo from these guys. People like that should be sentenced to a week with 7 or 8 female porn stars.

You guys should check out this band. I have 'The August Engine', and I should be getting 'The Bastard' soon.

JayKeeley: You especially would like this band.:loco:

Sold!

All you fucks need to hear Unholy Cadaver. It's all death vocals though, except for the last 5 minutes or so of "Hammers of Misfortune" where Scalzi brings it on home.

It's always interesting to see the roots....

Holy balls. I just read a lengthy Kayo Dot interview on LotFP, I'll read this INSANELY SUPER HUMUNGOID review later.

Yeah, read it in parts or something. He's a good writer as you probably know, so it's worth it in the long run.

He's shifting all his material to the web now that LotFP is done, so there's good material out there.

Oh he doesn't do print anymore? I don't really keep up with his goings-on, just read it when I come across it. And yeah, great writing, very attached to what he says.

funny news updade on the Slough Feg site ... looks like me an JK witnessed the best of the tour in Brooklyn, NY  :worship:

"(8-13-04) Well I'm back from the Hammers of Misfortune tour-----we went the whole way over to NYC and back----30 shows, 3 days off. I was born to tour and I'm glad there's more to come in the next month. I've made many friedns and a few enemies on the road.......hopefully only the friends will come back to haunt me. the best shows were in NYC, Chicago, Portland, Richmond VA, Austin and Fort worth Texas, there were a few dead ones during the weeks, but it was actually pretty profitable overall, and fun of course. Slough Feg will be working on some US tour dates hopefully for next year, its time to finally do it again!! We've been scared to head out on the road in the US since the mid ninetees, cause we used to do the west coast every year but always ended up playing for like fifteen, twenty people a night and it got really frustrating. Things are different now though and it seems there's enougfh of you out there who really want to see us. I met so many excited kids on the road it blew me away-----if Hammers of misfortune is still a mystery to any of you out there cheeck out the website at www.hammersof misfortune.com. I'm sure you'lll like what you find if you like slough feg. And its off to Europe again in two weeks!!!! Oh yes, bald spot update. I am happy to anounce that the over-the-counter monoxodil I've beeen useing has finally sprouted a few new baby-hairs. So maybe I won't have to wear a hat all the time in a year and look like Klause Meine!! No implants for me!! In fact, you may see some photos soon.....................mike"

Interview on LotFP too, concerning the August Engine vinyl cover:

If anyone is stupid enough to think we a Nazi band, whatever. You can just tell them we're like Kentucky Fried Chicken metal because they're obviously stupid enough to believe anything.

hm... i'm usually not to keen on the more obscure progressive (or whatever, you know what i mean :loco: ) recomendations flying around here on the RC forum, but strange as it may seem i'm enjoying this (the four clips from "the bastard"). a lot. thanks for the tip
