So I just discovered this new band . . . Hammers of Misfortune!

I say you can't beat the main riff of Aqualung, because well, you can't!
Did Spinal Tap rip it off on their first album (from the movie)? I'm sure they did -- I think on "Sex Farm" perhaps? It's strange because each time I hear the Aqualung riff, all I can think of is Spinal Tap and I'd like to know why. I don't have the ST album anymore so I can't even check!

All roads lead to the Tap somehow.

Don't know! I don't have Spinal Tap either. They're more of a right of passage than daily listening material anyway. :loco:

I have the DVD. Will check it out one of these months. (Apparently, a highlight of the DVD is the commentary where the three of them are doing the whole thing in character, and I've yet to hear it...).

For years, I never knew they were Americans. The fake accents are probably the best I've ever heard, seriously. They're such good actors -- I even laugh at their folk trio in A Mighty Wind.

Haha that's funny. You do know that Harry Shearer does like 10 voices on the Simpsons right? I love him, and not just because he played bass for the Tap. :loco:

Yeah Season 4 is easily the best. Well, 4, 5, & 6 really. If memory serves. They even had the ever so slightly psychotic eye thing and looking down camera angle bit that really makes it grand(er).

Ya, that's definitely some type of flute. There are MANY instances on the album that send me into orbit. It's like a continuous creamage of pantage.

I'll list em later tonight. wooppp
