my friend runs a lot of these in albany. she started out solidly in or around the middle placers, but has increased her time by something or other something or other each year. she's now in the top quarter, and seems happy with it.

so as that pertains to you, it really doesn't.

but you'll finish, i think, and place solidly. and will live to tell it.

a guy i know just went up to the chicago marathon- his wife ran and he quietly applauded from the sidelines because he was too hungover to run.

i've spent the majority of my life single, actually. so i'm sure i'll be okay. in fact, i'm more than okay with it. i'm just adjusting i guess.

i just talked to a coworker who ran the marathon 2 years ago and she said i could totally handle it, but she wasn't sure if my knees would live through it.
