I would guess he means the food is good. And it has been everytime I've been to Turkey. Never been to Kalkan though.

I lived in IZMIR for 2 years. I thought the food sucked. Filthy, Rat Bastard scammers everywhere... I'd never want to go back to that shithole... The beaches were beautiful and the Aegean Sea is beautiful too but the city to me was a shithole.
