I heard its gonna be iron man, which is a shity choice. I love my sabbath, but that shit def isnt #1.

But wtf, slipknot and korn are both on it, not to mention MM. what bullshit.

If Skid Row doesnt make the countdown im gonna fucken be pissed...
the irony of that statement is simply mind-blowing.

Korn's beatbox is more metal than CAUGHT IN A MOSH?

Blasphemy, then again its from VH1 so I can't expect much. Doro looked pretty hot though. :)

Oh I almost forgot:
They named "Balls to the Wall" as one of the worst metal songs of all time, and yet now they call it one of the best metal songs of all time.

WTF?

if you switched over to VH1 Classic after they aired 40-31 they showed all the others. I counted 9 that without a doubt should not have been in the running....some of those being Slipknot, Marilyn Manson, Quiet Riot, and Anthrax with Public Enemy.

Black Sabbath should be #1, and it only makes sense that their most famous song would be VH1's choice. its not their most 'metal' song of that era, but whatever. Sabbath is the original metal band, and Iommi invented the riff. bow down.

i watched 20 - 10 tonight. i really don't know why, somehow i was expecting it not to be stupid but turns out, oops i'm wrong. they had freak on a leash and toxicity over a ton of good songs, they mostly had really crappy not metal stuff and then only old classic heavy metal. not really any mention of nowadays stuff that isn't classic heavy metal, but its vh1, i shouldn't be expecting them to put in anything else. peace sells was a good choice for 10 though i thought.

I'm sorry, but slipknot, manson, faith no more, & korn do not belong on this list. Also, any other Metallica song from early albums (before "black album") is better than "Enter Sandman" and the same for G N' R (how about "Rocket Queen" or "My Michelle"). Hell yes for Pantera, Scorpions, Sabbath's "Paranoid", White Zombie, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest (I would have picked "Love Bites" or "Hellion/Electric Eye), Accept and though I don't consider them "Metal" but Def Leppard's "High N' Dry" is a good song. And last but not least, I would put any Nevermore song on this list.
