I'm sure that budget could stretch to Sonata Arctica though.Too Expensive - as mentioned before - Manowar are one of those bands which would eat the entire festival budget (As are Priest, Scorpions, Motorhead etc.)

:-( I was hoping you might have at least made an approach to Priest, in the hopes that they'd agree on sentimental grounds -- headlining the UK's premier metal festival[1] would be a perfect return to glory for them, even if it's not exactly Wembley Arena (which they could always play the following week I'm surprised that Motorhead are so expensive, though. And to a certain extent, Scorps, too.bloodstock said:Manowar are one of those bands which would eat the entire festival budget (As are Priest, Scorpions, Motorhead etc.)
That sounds good to me. And to most other people aswell by the looks of things!SA may not be big enough to headline yet, but surely main support?

I'd agree that they are not big enough to headline as they get little recognition over here. In Finland maybe, but as for Bloodstock they'd be good as special guests with someone like Stratovarius.
Either way, I'd love to see them, and to meet them aswell will make it all the better.
